Absolutely breathtaking external design. Congrats to the designers. Interior..... meh. I won't buy it.
There's no question that it's more beautiful but I've been in a '63 Stingray and I understand completely why the split-window was done away with. You can't see a damn thing out the back and what's worse is that you naturally spend too much time trying to look through the two windows through your mirror instead of looking where you're going. That's worse than no window at all. What the world truly needs, is a 1963 electric Corvette Stingray coupe. Not to mention that body's just sitting there waiting for someone to hang a set of gull wing doors on it.
I think that car is better looking than either iteration of the Delorean. Who knows, maybe I am showing my age.
Um, no. It might be "classic", but it's just as equally ugly. What the world truly needs, is a 1963 electric Corvette Stingray coupe. Not to mention that body's just sitting there waiting for someone to hang a set of gull wing doors on it.

Well, of course it's ugly to you, if for no other reason than I like it.Um, no. It might be "classic", but it's just as equally ugly.
.Amigo, it's 2023. The 4K rear view camera goes just above the license plate, and the screen goes, well, you know. Besides, we're not entirely sure that a repro wouldn't be self-driving. (God, I surely hope not. But still, it could happen). There's no question that it's more beautiful but I've been in a '63 Stingray and I understand completely why the split-window was done away with. Hey, don't get me wrong, I LOVE the split-window look. It gives it a real spacy-looking quality. However, putting a rear camera on that car or making it self-driving would have Delco purists freaking out more than evangelical Christians did about gay marriage!.Amigo, it's 2023. I do, (somewhat reluctantly), agree with you, as did GM apparently, since the '64 and '65's did away with the split window.
Although, t would seem there's at least one '63 die hard fan out there:
Splitty Conversion: 1964 Chevrolet Corvette
When the C2 Corvette was introduced in 1963 it had a unique feature. The rear window had a dividing post and the rear glass was "split" giving this car the obvious nickname of "a split-window Corvette." The design only lasted one year though and was replaced in 1964 with a one-piece rear window...barnfinds.com
No it's nothing personal. I really do think it's an ugly car. Same with the Ferrari 1960's GT California. It's an ugly car. I don't care how "classic" it might be, it is not visually appealing.Well, of course it's ugly to you, if for no other reason than I like it.
