Do I now have to uncheck the "Watch This Topic" box for every thread?

So, I had to re-sign in to Techspot yesterday, and now this "one time turn off" is an "every thread turn off". Is that expected? Or how do I turn that off? At no point do I want to watch the topic by default, and now I have to uncheck it every time instead of once like in the past.

I did clear cache and re-sign in, so it doesn't look like a local problem.
