I've heard that resetting the PRAM (more than two chimes, like three..) or SMC (do it two times, not only one) more than once is sometimes needed.
What's your experience?
After reading that link I can only imagine, redundant reset being just that redundant and unnecessary. This is the same concept as resetting the BIOS for PC. You either "do or do not, there is no try".
There are times when the PRAM has to be reset multiple times. One is after resetting the OF password after booting from the file supplied by Apple if the Mac still thinks it's disabled.
