Does anyone here own an Asrock 4CoreDual-VSTA?

A friend of mine is looking to buy the above board since he's planning on using his AGP card for a while longer and hopes to later upgrade to an 8600GT or so. Has anyone who owns or has owned this board have any problems or issues with it? Also, do you think the 8600GT will be bottlenecked by the 4x PCI-E slot on the board?

Yes I had one for about 6 months, until a series of power outages damaged the on-board NIC, and the PS2 keyboard port failed. The board is large and the bios are a bit weak. I would say yes to the "do you think the 8600GT will be bottlenecked by the 4x PCI-E slot on the board?" question... For basic use, the board worked. For advanced gaming and multitasking the board sucks... My ABIT IP35P is much better. Of course I purchased a PCI-e XFX Gforce 8600 to go with the new ABIT board

So the failure of the NIC and the P/S 2 port were only because of a power outage?
As for the PCI-E thingy, thanks for the response. I'll let him know about it.
