Dskcache question under 32-bit XP Pro

Probably a dumb question, but I tried running dskcache.exe on my 32-bit XP Pro system and all I get is a command prompt box that opens for a split second, flashes all the info on the disks by in rapid succession and then closes, all in about 2 seconds.

How do I get the command prompt box to stay open ? Anyone experienced this?

Start, run, type and enter 'cmd /k'

Then type and enter the command.

Nope. All it says is it is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file.

It isn't a standard part of XP - did you read that article/link I gave you?

Yes I did. As a matter of fact, I had read it a couple of times before you gave me the link. That's why I posted to the forum - because I was not getting what was going on.

Have you done a 'search' for that programme? I don't think you'll see it until you download the 'hotfix' they mention.

I have XP Pro and it isn't on mine.

Yeah, I thought I did that hotfix as well.
