Hi, I discovered that my HDD LED was flashing every exact second, so I did some basic googling and found two other topics on techspot. I can't link to them but they are the first two results if you google 'CD/DVD causing LED flashing'.
Following the advice in these topics, I disabled AutoPlay in the registry and in Control Panel. However, this made no difference so I opened up device manager and disabled the DVD/CD drive which did stop the rapid flashing which says to me that the issue is with the drive being checked but not by Windows' AutoPlay.
I'm not entirely sure if this is an actual problem and if it isn't, then I will just leave the drive enabled and let the light flash but it concerns me that even with the function that was apparently causing this being disabled, it continues. I have no other CD or DVD software that might be doing this as far as I know. Could it be iTunes/Winamp or something else?
