DVD-RW discs won't import to hard drive on Sony Vaio

I have a Sony VAIO. I cannot import video from DVD-RW mini-disc finalized from Sony Handycam DVR. I have tried "Click to Disk" as well as just a copy command. It worked once and never again. However, it works consistently with video finalized on DVD-R mini-discs. Any help is appreciated. Thx. Sparky

Disks have 2 burn options,1 won't allow others to read them.
But you have to have inCD installed to read an RW disk.
Thats what Nero calls it anyway.

Yes, that InCD causes a lot of problems but Nero is not installed on a lot of laptops or desktops... and hopefully not Sparky's either

Thanks, Tmagic650 and Zipperman. I ended up downloading a trial version of Sony's Vegas editing SW which has an import option for movie cameras with a disc. It worked but then I have to render it before I can view it. Lot of trouble. I'm never going to use the RW discs again. At least the regular computers can generally copy -R off to hard disk.

Thanks again for your help.

Sparky
