But CNN didn't fold? They followed their demographic which are Boomers and have switched to conservative news. Most Boomers vote Republican. And no I don't hate free speech. But Twitter is a private business. They can do whatever they want. Even now with Musk at the helm.
And that's just the problem. Instead of trying to make a positive difference in the world, corporations are only there to rake in as much money as possible by any means necessary. They're no different from organised crime in that regard.
Same as "No shirt, no shoes, equals no service."
It's funny you say that because I said the same thing about masks.
"No mask equals no service."

And yet you have valid government ID, wow, that must have been so hard for you, nearly impossible from what I hear. PS - I used to get prescriptions on campus with my college ID and a valid script.
I honestly hate to break this to you, but laws may have been changed since you were in college. (Notice the I replied in the conditional, "may have been", since I'm not interested in cracking the law books to solidify my response,. Nor am I particularly interested in hearing a bunch of crap back over it.) That said, in PA, it is illegal to dispense a controlled substance without a valid DL, or, what they call "Real ID", which requires 3 forms of other valid ID to obtain. What college did you attend? Maybe someone should call the FBI.

Well, I did have to renew my DL before I got the prescription. Funny story, the DMV is a mile or so from my house. I went on my motorcycle, renewed the license, and out of the clear blue, ,the battery failed trying to start it to go home, I had walk home, to get a friend to drive me back in my car to get it. Then, strap an automobile battery to the passenger seat, slap jumper cables on, and drive it home. Then of course obviously, buy a new battery.

All one person's opinion, but certainly not "fact". I actually think the right (Trump Republicans, along with Fauz News", lie to an abundant extreme compared to the so called, "left', (Democrats).
This is objectively true. If you look at mediabiasfactcheck.com (one of the greatest discoveries on the net that I've ever made), the overwhelming majority of "media outlets" who have bad fact records are on the right. There are some that are on the left but those are few and far between.
This type "confrontational dialog", is exactly what Musk was hoping to achieve when he bought Twitter, Just so he could sit on the mountain top, like a god, and watch we mortals slug it out, expressly for his amusement.
Yeah, that sounds like something that a rich sociopath would enjoy. I only hope that it doesn't end like that.
In the mean time, I'm just going to sit here in, "the swamp", and wait for the padlock to come down on this dumpster fire of a thread,
Say hi to Hawkeye and BJ for me! As for me, none of my posts here have been antagonistic. Some may seem a bit preachy but nobody can say that I didn't back up everything I said. I don't make things up because I have a crappy imagination and I'm old enough to know that it doesn't do anybody any good, including me. You've always been an honest man as far as I've seen so I know you understand what I'm talking about.

There were exactly 17 fraudulent votes in 2020. 17! This data is from the hard right-leaning Heritage Foundation. That's not "massive fraud." https://www.heritage.org/voterfraud...year=2020&case_type=All&fraud_type=All&page=0
lol^
I have been voting in the same Gymnasium for 35 years. Poll workers were not allowed to have pencils, pens, phone, cameras, coats, bookbags in the polling area...

Except for this election... where several of us were questioning why there were so many violations and why one voting machine had a laptop hooked to it...

We were told not to make a scene and that everything was OK.

Then... Co workers and family members all started sharing their stories about How DIFFERENT this election was conducted.

People counting ballots behind curtains and boxes, who didn't want to be seen from Election workers...

Why..?

Dude, most of us have backed up our statements with links. You have only posted blind assertations. Done with you.

Biden has said a lot of untrue things, like he played football against Ohio (he didn't), he was forced down in a helicopter by the Taliban (it was weather), that he was at the top of his class (he was at the bottom), he didn't know anything about Hunter's business (see Hunter's laptop), that gas was $5/gal when he took office (it wasn't), that there is no inflation (there is), that he was arrested in S. Africa (nope), that his family were coal miners (see reasons why Biden dropped out of the 88 election) and more. If you're pitting Trump against Biden, that is a no-win situation as Biden has a long history of lying and it's well documented. Should we revoke Biden's twitter account and banish him from social media forever?
Yeah we should. Right after he incites an attack on the Capital, and has his followers threaten to, "hang Mike Pence".

Note too, that all politicians are liars and narcissists. Although, a majority aren't psychopaths, pathological liars and malignant narcissists. Donald Trump raised the bar pretty high in those categories..

I've never been so glad that I don't use Twitter. I'm willing to bet that Elon Musk is going to try to turn it into a right-wing echo chamber of hate with "free speech" as its excuse.
Remember when the leftist fascist who run Twitter banned the NY Post for breaking the Hunter Biden laptop story after we were lied to by the current regime and their Soviet Pravda MSM cronies when they told us it was Russian disinfo?

You sound like you are afraid to watch all the news, because a full narrative destroys your propaganda

Avro... do u live in the USA..?
No, I live in Canada which means that I'm exposed to all of the same media that Americans are. Truth be told, I know more about the USA than most Americans. Where I live makes no difference and is really weak strawman argument.
Or are you another foreigner trying to tell Americans what they witnessed during the election...? Because many people saw and reported fraud.
So, because a few people said they saw it but couldn't prove it, it must be true? Are you trying to gaslight me right now because there's no way in hell that I can take you seriously if this is what you REALLY think. And the term "foreigner", wow, you're really on a roll now aren't you? Since you don't know about the world, let me clue you in. There's a reason that Americans are stereotyped as being stupid. It's because they tend to be less educated on average compared to countries like Canada, Australia, Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, New Zealand, Japan, Finland, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

If an American says something, most people are less inclined to take them seriously than someone from one of the other countries that I listed. That means your immediate dismissal of truth from someone just because they're not from the US is completely based on emotion and that's not how intelligent people make decisions. My post has evidence that you ignored and you have offered none to back up your words. Even if you refuse to accept it, you've lost the argument.
All of it was swept under the rug until citizens started to notice a pattern.. and of being silenced, or being told to shut up.
Over 2k complaints of fraud by average citizens in my County alone, let alone my State... and when the courts stepped in, the Secretary deleted the data..
How convenient! An excuse for your lack of evidence! The truth doesn't make excuses, only lies do.
Stuff like that^ went on in every State. Today we know election fraud took place, because there has been Press investigations.
Investigations that found nothing so no, you don't know that election fraud took place. You only want it to be true and refuse to accept that it isn't. You still have no evidence only weightless words.
Why or how you don't know this is absolutely amazing given the fact you say it didn't happen... when even more people or coming out about it.
Probably because when a non-biased media outlet like Reuters says that it didn't happen, I'm 100% going to believe them over OAN, Fox and "Info"wars, outlets that are notorious for lying through their teeth.
BTW... I got 4 ballots in the mail.. I never asked for one. That is fraud.
No, that is not fraud, that is error. Apparently you don't even know what fraud is. It's only fraud if you used all of them but since your name would have been on all of them, it would've been caught. You still haven't convinced me of anything except that you're not even qualified to have a serious discussion on this topic because you have no evidence and have demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that you don't even know what fraud is. Everyone who reads this exchange is going to think that you're a crackpot and shake their heads sadly (if not facepalming).

There's even research to back that up for the 2016 US election. Don't ask me for the link. I've posted it to TS several times already - I'm sure if you want to spend the time looking for it, you'll find it.

You've got nothing, so resorting to insults is the way to go. Got it. I guess that you forgot Trump had his 15-minutes of fame as the laughing stock of the world.

Which makes me inclined to not believe what you said about @TheRealSDC - who has posted in the prior Elon Musk thread that it is voting republican this time. Maybe, I just did not recognize the troll bait. 🤣

Far right makes up their own.
Yes, they even have a name for them - Alternative Facts. 🤣
My, my, the sarcasm is subtle in this one. Might I humbly suggest you put in a "rolleyes" emoji, or, encase "free speech", in shock quotes, (as I have done), to denote the inversion of meaning to clarify your intent.
Ah, @captaincranky -wan. Good to see you bring your light-saber to the battle. 🤣

This is huge. Now I can go back to posting things like "kill yourself you fat *****" and "the Holocaust isn't real" with impunity.

Today is a great day for free speech indeed.
well thats what free speech is. you get the good with the bad. cant have 1 entity decide. make the decision on your own.

I completely agree with this and so I believe that Twitter has to be re-written as a platform that is immune to bots. Elon's got the pockets to easily get it done, so let's see if he makes any positive changes or just comes up with excuses why he can't. Doing what needs to be done to Twitter would be a drop in the bucket for him. The problem with being that rich is the fact that nobody with a brain is going to buy any excuses you have for something not getting done. We're quite aware that he has the means to do what he says so if he doesn't, he was just full of it from the beginning.
I'm not so sure Elon really has the pockets to back it up. Why else would he be charging outrageous rates for certain classes of Starlink service?? ;)

And he certainly does not have the means to mount his Mars colonization plan. If he did, he'd be there by now - or at least he said so.

I watched many hours of the Freedom Truckers protest live on Youtube and how Trudeau along with his Party's state media machine worked to smear protesters in any way possible. Riot police were sent in where there was no riot, then protestors had their bank accounts frozen. I later watched a video with Trudeau saying that he admired China because its dictatorship allowed it to turn economic policy on a dime to fastrack "green" energy legislation, and thought, yeah, that fits. Trudeau is actually worse than our Jacinda Adern. My condolences to Canadians.

Don't forget this.

This shows the double standards of Twitter. which in fact is no standard at all, just we ban whoever we want when we want.
Though the source which you posted did not provide anything about Khamenei talking about genocide. From Khamenei tweets, he is talking about Zionist regime genocide against Palestinians from "occupied territories", which is a proven fact.
So in the end, an example of palestinian-israeli conflict is not so good here.

The official twitter account of the Iranian govt. called for the total annihilation of Israel. No grey area there.

As far as twitter censoring who they choose ... they don't censor the left. That's how that works.

From my research, iranian govt called for/against zionist political regime which is not the same with Israel. Israel can refer to israeli peoples as a nation or to the zionist regime? I think that to peoples, even if governors pretend that a political regime is the nation, it is not.
I checked and in their language, iranian representatives said zionist regime, not Israel as peoples or nation. Some words can have different meanings especially when translated, and those who want war instigate based on confusions like this example. As much as zionist political regime is against Iran political regime as so is iranian regime against zionist political regime from Israel.
It's like who is not with me, the rulers, is against me.
Oh, is it happening to be also a common mantra of USA nowadays?
Back to topic.
Common people from both nations can find common grounds and peace if they recognize and overcome the extremists from both sides.
I saw in a Stargate episode a solution like this, Jack O'Neil locked 2 aliens extremist rulers in the same room, without food and water until they found peace and common ground. :)
