Computer is restarting randomly a few times a day. I have the case open and a small fan external fan keeping it cool as I thought it might be a heat issue - not so.

Attached are the 6 mini dumps for the last four days. That's when it started happening.
Also attached is the full system report courtesy of CPUID CPU-Z

MoBo: AsusTeK P4P800-X Rev 1.xx
Chipset: Intel i865P/PE/G/1848P Rev. A2
BIOS: AMI Ver 080009 8/16/04
Memory: 2048 MBytes

I've had this computer for a while and it has been trouble free. This is a 4 day old problem.

Thanks so much.

Barry

Computer is restarting randomly a few times a day.

Does the system crash first and then reboot?

I don't do the minidumps, but I will be glad to help if you get the rest of the information from the Event Viewer. You want to see f there is an Error at time of crash:

Start> Run> type in eventvwr

Do this on each the System and the Applications logs:

  • [1]. Click to open the log>
    [2]. Look for the Error>
    [3] .Right click on the Error> Properties>
[4]. Click on Copy button, top right, below the down arrow >
    [5]. Paste here (Ctrl V)
    [6].NOTES
  • You can ignore Warnings and Information Events.
  • If you have a recurring Error with same ID#, same Source and same Description, only one copy is needed.
  • You don't need to include the lines of code in the box below the Description, if any.
  • Please do not copy the entire Event log.
Errors are time coded. Check the computer clock on crash. The Category is not as important as the Event ID#, the Source and the Description.
