Hi.

I'm having some trouble with my external.
The computer is able to recognize that the device is connected.

As you can see, my other partitions are fine and operational.
But the comp cant connect to 'Disk 2', the one I'm having problems with.
I have another external connected; Drive E, and that's working perfectly.
On the rare occasion the computer actually connects to it, if you try to access the hard drive from my computer, it will ask you to format it, which would wipe it; something I don't want to do.

Cables are fine, and the comp is healthy also. I've even bought an external case and hooked it up to that, still with no luck.
There's something odd though; the HD keeps on losing power, randomly.

I have some pretty important files on there, so I really want to get it working.
Help is appreciated.

If it works sometimes then it must be a data cable or power issue to the hard drive
Sometimes the external controller box can also be at fault

Consider removing the hard drive from the external case and mounting it internally
Or, if that doesn't work, then possibly test with another Power Supply

We didn't really need the big pic though. Well I didn't

Yeah, I thought it might off been an issue with the HDD.
I've tried with multiple pcs and used new cables, and they all didn't work with it.

You love it.
