Hi, i think this issue has been posted before but i really could not understand what was going in the previous thread so i was hoping for a step by step of what i should do.
I have been using an external usb harddrive which worked perfectly fine for a while but stopped being detected in windows xp (am running windows 7 now) all of a sudden. When i plug it in, the sound of a usb device being detected is made and it attempts to install the driver to run the mass storage however, no drive shows up anymore in my computer. Also, under disk management it does not pick up this drive either. I have tried different computers/usb slots as well as cables and it does the same thing.
