Facebook wont open

I have Windows 7 and for some unknown reason last week facebook quit opening? The screen says this page cannot be displayed. O.k. mysteriously it started working Friday night and Saturday. Then quit again on Sunday and hasn't worked since. All other websites worked except twitter did the same thing for a couple of days too. I haven't changed anything on the computer. I even restored the system back to before it started doing this. Please help

This problem could be down to the site just being busy, but it's worth clearing the history from your web browser, use CCleaner if you have it installed.

Thanks man but I already tried that and it's been like this all week.

Please help I am not that knowledgeable on computers and I really need to get on facebook.

If you get to facebook.com from a bookmark list in your browser, try searching 'facebook' from any search engine, and click on the link it gives.
It's because that site now uses https not http.
Not sure which web browser you use but be sure to clear the cookies/history.
If Firefox make sure all add-on's are up to date.
(That's, Tools/Add-on's/plug-in's/check to see if plug-in's are up to date.)
I none of this applies to your setup, load FB site, and press F5 to refresh the page.
This has been reported to work in some set-ups.

Thanks Man I couldn't get that to work either but I went to Google Chrome and facebook works on it.
