Faulty sandisk

I've recently purchased a 2 gb micro Cruzer sandisk (U3) and it has stopped working -
i have loads of files on it..
the light does not come on
the CPU does not find it
Help!

any suggestions?

Well on the other end (ie not worrying about the files)

Will format any USB flash drive
It can be known to recover Flash drives that are un-responsive too.

But to recover your files, first try another computer USB port
