Flat screen problem

I had found this flat screen it has these vertical lines going thro the screen but the sound still works. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Might be that your display is failing. First, remove and reconnect all cables. If that doesn't work, try another set of cables.

Try 'restore factory defaults'. Make sure how based on manual (download from manufacturer's website).

Check for similar situations on manufacturer's support forum.

At this point, it begins to look like a 'real problem'. Possibly damage around the edge (dropped, etc) or corrosion.

If nothing works, it is probably an 'edge' connection going bad. See youtube videos which might help.
