Wow. It's about $180 more than I paid for my brand new Galax 1070 EXOC a few weeks ago. Maybe that's due to the fact that I buy all my hardware directly from the importers. The mark-up is phenomenal.

Try buying computers and parts in Australia I know our prices include taxes but wow just wow.

For those of us with a boner for small form factor (or smaller) systems. :)

I FINALLY got uncomfortable with that boner and how much money it was costing me. But I still live vicariously through these tech articles and pcpartpicker build pics...

I know right? I thought I burned myself out from it but then the RZ02/ML08 came out a couple years ago and dragged me back in.

Yeah, I believe Australian hardware prices are extortionate. Our prices aren't as cheap as Eastern Bloc countries but cheaper than most Western Bloc countries. I guess it's just that particular country's economics. The price and speed of our data would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic.

Very cool thin card....Y tho?

The leading benefit of a single-slot card is for SLI where the second card often goes in a slot that would cover up an available slot.

For small builds like ITX or mini-ATX where space is limited, you need a single slot card.

For me, the key benefit of a single slot card is that draws less power.

Sure, but itx only has one slot anyway. M-ATX makes the most sense

There are one slot ITX cases that happen to have enough space for this kind of card, but until now such a card (a single slot GTX 1070 that is) did not exist.

It also allows custom case builders to fit more horsepower in a smaller space (without going Liquid cooling to achieve single slot)

Without waterblock for it its just curiosity for me. If any company delivers block for it then it will be instant purchase or two or three...
