I have a generic Flash drive 512GB that is formatted exFat. When writing files to it, the computer crashed and since then, the drive has been in a read only state (there is no write protection switch on the outside of the drive casing).
When running diskpart it says current read only state: yes. But for read only, it says no. I can clear the read only state, and it will even say successful, but the current read only state still says yes.
Disk Management in windows control panel says the drive is healthy, active partition.
I have tried using various formatting tools such as AlcorMP, HP format Tool, and a variety of others and no luck.
Anyone else have any other ideas?
