I recently acquired an old server, and can't get it to work properly if I want to turn it on I have to change the power input. Also it works off two C drives and I can't update the OS (Well I did install XP but if I try to use it nothing happens).

Alright, so as it stands now; you have an old computer that in somehow installed windows XP on but you can;t log in to it.

Your also saying it has 2 hard drives.

When you turn the computer on, do you get past the Windows Loading screen? If you can;t pass that screen, have you tried to log in through Safe Mode?

What errors are you receiving? How far are you able to get?

Alright then, unfortunately that does not rule any of the already suspected victims.
It is either the Power Supply, the mother board or the keyboard.

The keyboard being the most easiest and inexpensive attempt to fix.

I would suggest going to a local computer store, pick up a cheap generic power supply ($15) and try that. Unless you have a spare computer you can use for parts, it looks like some money will be going in to this repair.
