I've got a really good set of speakers I've had for
quite some time, so am just looking for a good
stand alone amp I can hook to my computer.

Maybe a bit "out of line" for this forum, but
appeciate any tips.

Long ago had a Sansui amp, worked great.
Finally bit the dust. I see them on ebay,
but I suppose there are better ones available now?

Thanks!!

They're 4 ohm if I recall.

Wharfedale, about 12" woofers, crossovers,
2 mid range diff sizes, and a mylar (I think)
tweeter. About 70 lbs apiece.

Not sure, but I think they're in the neighborhood
of 100 watts ea.

Got them while in the Army (stateside) about 69.
Now THAT gives away my age! ;-)

Nice set of speakers!!!!:)

Not sure what to suggest for an amp tho, apart from making sure its ok with 4ohm as a lot of cheap 8ohm amps will keep blowing fuses!!!!

I use a pair of home made 4ohm speakers powered by a 50watt screenbeat the i got brand new for about £25!! Been using it for a number of years now and i have to say it sounds good for its price but i doubt is available anymore!!!!
