Having problems setting up microphone/audiocard

Well recently i have started using the program teamspeak for online gaming. I absolute zero experience with video cards, headsets and microphones i was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on which audio cards are best and which headsets to lookout for when speaking online, i seem to get alot of feedback and a very muffled sound on my current headset and need an urgent upgrade.
