Today I downloaded the Free Macrium imaging software and have had some issues. I am running Windows Vista. I was able to create a recovery CD, and create an image of my hard drive on a WD USB external drive that is partitioned and recently reformatted. All looked good so far. Could even explore the image and see files/folders. Then I inserted the recovery CD, powered down and then restarted. The restore wizard opened from CD and asked me to choose which drive to pull the image from in order to perform a restore. Well my external hard drive that holds the image does not appear in this window.
