I'm trying to describe something but don't know the lingo.
1. Is there a word/phrase to describe the general format of, for instance, the Criaglist forum
versus a more standard format like City Data?
2. Is there a word/phrase to describe the straight vertical line of sequence of replies in a thread, like here, versus Chowhound, where there is a slight indentation to clarify which post is being responded to?
https://www.chowhound.com/post/navig...1087468?page=2
3. Is there a word/phrase to describe how some forums re-position a thread at the top every time there's a reply, versus ones where threads stay in chronological order, and eventually drop off the end of a webpage, as with Craigslist?
Thanks for any enlightenment.
