Help, XP won't boot up

during installing service pk 2 on my sisters xp home pc, it crashed & turned off, when i tried to boot up again its is asking for a repair set up disk???? i tried to start windows normally but it won't. we dont have this repair set up disk... any help please..thanks

Can you boot into safe mode? If so, maybe you see if SP2 can be uninstalled or maybe you can go to Windows Update and see if you can complete the installation.

Hi, just insert in the windows xp cd, reboot the machine, boot from the cd follow the prompts, in the blue screen, then after its asks you to press F8, then the next button to be pressed is 'R'.
Thart will repair it.

we dont have this repair set up disk

You can run Check Disk from using a free boot disc as well
