Some Win10 security update a year ago broke the print spooler on my work computer. If I was lucky I could print 2 or 3 documents or shipping labels before I got messages about printer not found or print spooler failed....sometimes just killing and restarting the print spooler service would let me get a couple more things printed. Eventually the print spooler would just outright stop responding and would require a computer restart.
The security update was the ONLY change to my work computer and the IT guy refused to believe me that the update was causing my problem. He spent nearly 6 hours trying to troubleshoot (reinstall drivers, try completely different printers, update the OS version to the most recent release) the problem before he finally listened to me and uninstalled the update from MS. Once that was removed all my printing issues were fixed. Sadly, since the IT guy had no idea how to prevent MS from pushing this update through and I had to fight with the constant re-install of the update and broken print spooler issues for several days. I told him of a MS tool for Windows 10 located the MS website that could be used for Windows 10 to block unwanted updates - he finally was able to prevent the update from being auto installed on my work computer (I swear I should be doing his job for him).
I hate Windows 10 and the horrific updates they push out.
Some people are lucky to not experience too many issues outside of some minor inconvenience while others have a hell of a time with horrific problems (such as my 3 in the past that the updates broke Windows so bad a repair and safe mode couldn't be accessed to fix the windows problem - so complete OS re-installs were necessary. One of the updates even deleted all the saved pictures in My Pictures folder in My Documents - thankfully I've got multiple back ups.)
