How can I make my Facebook profile picture clearer in it's small form?

Hello,

Can anybody recommend what and how I can use to make my Facebook profile picture have more definition?

When my profile pic is big on my homepage it looks fine but it lacks definition when it is small ie when making a comment ect.

The picture was taken with a somewhat old digital camera.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You can upload the highest resolution picture you have...no more.
