How does Win XP defrag drive letter that has multiple physical HDD against it???

For ease of use reasons, I'm contemplating mounting several other physical HDD (my system will have 5) to the C:\ using the "mount to empty NTFS folder" option. My concern is that I won't be able to control defragmentation operations if I do this. I don't necessarily want to defrag 5 disks when I tell windows to defrag my C: drive, but if I mount them as empty NTFS folders, then I'm afraid my defrag process will be one from hell! Anybody know how this works????
