See I got this comp like 2 months ago and i ordered it with a 40gig 7200rpm hard drive, but i doubt it has 7200rpm cos it takes a damn lot of time to load windows. and i wanna know how to find out its real speed.

specs
amd 2800+ barton
radeon 9200se 64mb
512mb ram 2700 mb/s
40 gig ''7200'' rpm.
i think thats enough.

thanks in advance

Find out the HD model number and check the specs on the manufacturers website. You can see it when you boot up the computer and it lists the hard drives.

There are millions of more probable reasons for computer slowdowns than a slow hard drive. You should first make surre your Windows is A-OK.

you could also try using some benchmarking software to compare it against the "model" version of your hard drive...if it scores similar, then there are a number of things clogging up your windows boot, or perhaps fragmentation is the cause.

Haha no joke... 2800+ and a 9200se? Its like high performance and bottom of the barrell :\

lol!!
my celery comp had the card already...i just placed it in this amd comp.
things are expensive down here...cant buy a lot of computer things. :blackeye:
neways thx for the help!
