How to Transfer Photos from iPhone 6 to PC in Windows 11, 10, 8, 7

I've been trying this for 3 hours & no luck, please help

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB cable. ...
2. On the home screen, click Phone Transfer.
3. Click the "+" icon and select the pictures that you want to transfer. ...
4. Then specify a path as the destination to store the pictures.

Well, I've tried a few of them but no luck. 3000 plus pictures, 192 videos, not too happy

Forced to give up, have tried many of them but got nowhere

I DO not know how it happened, trial & many errors, but I finally got ALL 3000 plus pictures transferred to a folder on my desktop
