Exact quote (ie I've never done one actually!)

I asked because my wife was pressuring me on getting her laptop unlocked.
She gives me dirty looks when I use mine and she has nothing. So I decided
to break down and purchase a password from someone.. The password
supplied did not work. I was wondering if I was doing the correct key combinations
after I entered the password. I even used an external usb keyboard. That didn't help.
I even disconnected the laptop keyboard, thus having only the usb keyboard
attached.
Just to eliminate the questioning if my laptop keyboard was causing any issues.
The end result was the master key supplied did not work.
I am currently trying someone else's password solution to see if they give me a
different master key combination.

Well when you find out, please post that procedure, before you go off never to be seen again. (There are many single posts here, and we never hear what actually happened, all information is good)

I would just like to say "See!" there wasn't just madness to my ways (directed to the password providers here)
It has possibly brought more attention to this thread, and how users can actually be helped!

It would be ideal if any of those "password providers members" could reply on that. And my recent actions!

Has anyone here ever bought a working password from such a "unlock Dell Notebooks shop" ?

hi, dont trust every guys pretending can unlock DELL 595B tags, there many scamers!, of cours i know just 3 trustfull pay services ....i wont post link here !
plz google for or PM me.

I was also a bit skeptical .. But I spared no room for error.. so I could get refunded any amount paid. I video documented the service tag, and myself inputting the supplied master password with various keyboards. So I could prove it did not work. And any dispute could be resolved quickly. I Just hate I had my time wasted instead of having a resolution.

Plz help me ..

i accidentally put a bios password on my moms dell XPS M1330 and forgot the password and she is going to be back in 6 days

her id number is #HDXR63J-595B

and her service tag is HDXR63J

Master pass

Hi. I have a Compaq nx9010 with hash code [ 10371]. Can somebody provide me please a master password ? Thanks !

I have a Dell D620

Service tag is 9TG5P1S-595B

Can anyone help me to find the solution for my password protected notebook?

Thanks in advance who is going to help me.

I have an Inspiron 5100 - Service tag B1HC53J (for any good samaritans out there) ;)

A couple of questions, sorry if they've already been covered but it is a rather large thread.

Is there anywhere on the Dell website I can try and take ownership from within the UK? All the links I've tried seem to be for US. Am I missing something?

Also, I'm quite technical and don't mind having a go at the paperclip trick but I'm reluctant to give over any money for a set of instructions! Can anyone provide a link free of charge?

Lastly, if all else fails and I have to pay for a code, how much of a garauntee do these people provide that the code will sort me out. Don't want to throw good money into the wind being a tight Scotsman and all that. :p

Cheers in advance for any advice.

How much of a guarantee do these people provide: (regarding purchasing from 3rd party source)
You are dealing with private individuals not a company
But most tend to help you if it doesn't work
Watch out, for just paying for advice or info, that can be normally found freely

It is still a good option to read it in full, before deciding on your next action

this is most likely to be a dumb question but is there away to find the orignal owner of a laptop?

i also have 2 d610 with grey sceen so later to night iam going to ebay and looking for 68fastbacks pics and info pac going to try the paper clip ddeal and still no luck with the insiron

is there away to find the original owner of a laptop?
The manufacture have this info, but cannot give it out due to privacy reasons (anyway you know that!)

I'm pausing and thinking...

Hmm, you could type the s/n into the warranty field at Dell, and see when and where it was last sold (although that won't give you last owner still !)

Still thinking...

You could backtrack, who you bought it from, and then who they bought it from...
Actually that's probably the best one :)

Otherwise No :(

I would like to re-state to all New members, that there are FREE alternatives, than paying high costs.

Before deciding to accept any message on how you can pay to receive your passwords:
1. Read this entire thread (you are currently on) On many laptops, the passwords can be freely removed
2. Dell will supply you a password for under $40 only
3. Shop around. There are many pay for services out there, quite a few at eBay, and basically a Google search will find hundreds!

You have been informed

Also read my last post h e r e on free alternatives :)
.

Note I will continue to post this message on each page change here

thanks i tryed back tracking but they came from a donation store and they dont have records on them they said they must of came from a drop box

if all else fails i can break even by parting them out

I contacted Dell support directly
They said (I quote) In some cases they will accept change of ownership (the cheapest and best method :) ) without knowledge of previous owner.

Therefore always try Dell support first :) (previous page has info on that)

DELL Inspiron 5100 = 24LC16B

NOTE: Chip is located at the bottom of board, next to memory Slot B
Peel off the black labels that reads: "SLOT A , SLOT B"

If shorting method does not work, try unsoldering Pin #8 clear off the contact of the board, which eliminates the Passwords :)

Anyone with one of those dell generators. If you could just verify if the
master password corresponds with the service tag
Model : D620
Service Tag : GQ089C1-595B
M Password : 4vrt3qby
A simple yes or no will do.. and thank you for your time
p.s. giving me the correct one if the above is not correct wont hurt either

i am also trying the ownership transfer option. but understand that it can take a while.
meanwhile, it appears the those with the password generators have made themselves scarse here.
Or could I be wrong?

Hello! I just got this HP Compaq NX9005 and it has a boot password set. I have read on other forums that, on this particular model, resetting the CMOS would remove the password. I have taken it apart, removed the battery, got the "invalid cmos data" message but the password is still there.
Can anyone help?
My system has code is "05469"
Thank you!

Can anyone please help me or point me in the right direction? Is there a code generator available? I can't find anything... Does the clip method work on this laptop? If it does, where's it's eeprom? I really need the laptop...
Thank you very much,
Andrei.
