Worthless effort. Just buy a new hard drive... a 40 GB is $30, and 80 GB is $41. A 100 GB is 60... and so on... Nobody has figgered out a way to deal with the hard drive password.

Just hope the motherboard is not the one with the password.

it wont do nothing without battery, you need to reset a chip that saves this info, or get the 595b generator, if you get it, please let me know!

Service tag 4LG70G1-595B please help

As mentioned about 6 Months ago; I am on a quest to remove all paid services specifically in this thread. I also gave some members the option of what would be acceptable, ie provide free Passwords for hash codes, regularly.

I stated by 2009, this thread would be free only, as it is intended to be.
The last assault on this is to ban all the members still hopelessly trying to receive payments for services. I expect within a month or two, all these money hungry members will be finally gone :grinthumb And this thread will finally be completely free.

Being the only one of its kind on the Net

If any member has been approached via PM or otherwise on password removal. Please quote all information (excluding the spamming link) here. If you want to do this even after you have paid for password removal, I'm happy with that too.
Lets make this thread totally free. Where at that stage I can then call in Dell support directly to help. Presently due to this change on this thread (and past history) Dell is not interested. Note years ago before this non-free service started; Dell support were quite happy in helping here.

TechSpot forum is free support only

Most times there is not one. The password entered is a blank... Usually, not keystroke is needed. Other times just spacebar

hey there everyone I've been following this topic and know that to have the 595b password generator is what everyone wants to solve their bios password woes,, does anyone know the actual .exe official file name of this generator I recall that kimsland said she knew a couple of people who have it but haven't given it up yet, I also have locked laptop a need password. i might be able to get it if I know the .exe filename

Heh, how do you know it's an .exe? Could just as well be any kind of script, and from what I've heard (on the ihatedell.net forums), even Employees of Dell don't have access to that tool outside of their working area. I guess advisors can use a web interface to access the master password generating software that runs on some server, so for someone to make this ".exe", you're talking about you'd either have someone at Dell stealing the software from the server, or someone else write a compatible algorithm for it.

That maybe possible, though Dell has a history of using .exe programs to accomplish this type of purpose, I have a cd from a dell tech for systems prior to the 595b "for internal use only" with various executable file types tech's do have access

TB2 says "Heh, how do you know it's an .exe? if you read the prior pages of post's you'll see some people in this forum have access and have given master passwords to some who say it worked, as well it being noted that some do have this generator, sorry I didn't understand your point to your post, you show more concern about if someone at dell is stealing software, or someone writing an algorithm to make a password than helping people resolve the problem they have with a laptop, this is a help forum ppl come here to give or receive help for forgotten passwords or if they bought a used laptop, free help , sadly though some people only want to offer help for a profit

1423 replies but nothing specific to my problem and stop refering to the same damn post or thread or what ever ......... oh well ....i know some one can help ....probably not on this site anymore.back to surfing .kimsland do you have any real answers or are they all condesending referals to previous post or threads.ive been reading for about 4 or 5 days now and you havent answered any legit questions. sorry but its true.you will probably ban me for this but take aclose look you'll see what im talking about.

As mentioned numerous times
TechSpot is only free service
If the free alternatives do not work for your laptop password, then Google or eBay or go to any number of the thousands of places across the Net to purchase your password (including the Manufacture, being always preferred)

Here is the free alternatives again: https://www.techspot.com/vb/showthread.php?p=712566#post712566

If none work => :wave:

And I'm on a break for a few days, don't contact me again ;) :D
