Hi everyone. I have an HP Envy Laptop running Windows 8.1, 64 bit.
I think this is the root of the problem - if I use Windows Live to play/splice a video the sound becomes nothing but a crackling noise. It stays that way nonstop even if nothing is playing unless I restart the computer or mute it obviously.
It seemed to only be doing it when I imported mkv files, but right now it did it again with mp4.
In my device manager it says for sound: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and Intel Display Audio. I think it's also "beats audio" or something.
Please help, thanks!
