Ok, so here's my story, My boss gets a used a comp and asks me to get it working. The people they got it from installed new HD and fresh install of Windows XP Home.
First time I start it up I get unmountable_boot_device. So I took it apart and check all connections and cleaned it out. Finally got it going. I got all of our normal software on it to and three days later it goes BSOD! Did some googling and thought my issue might be RAM, so I Installed new two new ram chips. Same speed just more of it. Still getting BSOD.
Decided to do fresh install of XP and format HD. I have XP pro and tried to do fresh install with format and new partition. I've tried twice now, and keep getting the same result, after XP downloads setup files and begins Install, 10 mins in I get BSOD.
