Installed new memory and now it won't boot

Hi

i just installed 2 sticks of HP memory in an Iqon PC and all it does now is give 1 long beep and nothing else

even putting the old memory in has the same effect


can memory blow your board


oh and i tested the memory in an HP 5700 PC and one stick wont be seen, could this faulty stick have caused the other PC to fail. ?

the mobo is an MSI 7222 if its screwed is there any other MSI board available that has the same setup, so that i can just stick his HDD in it and get it up and running.

I suppose you have tried removing all the Ram and power connectors, and held the ON button in for 20secs
You could also manually reset the Bios to defaults (refer to your manual located HERE for instructions)
Then put one stick of the original back in and test

Still no change

gonna guess its toast

its not an HP PC by the way, its an IQON built for tesco stores.

My only other option would be benchtest
I agree Ram (usually incorrect rating) can blow the ram channels - sometimes

bugger...;looks like he's stuffed then,

they have a forum,thats my next point of call when they bother to send the activation email

i cant even find a board on ebay or anywhere for it either, any ideas if there is an alternative

its an MSI 7222 ver 2 pm8pm v

I have no more options
I had a faulty motherboard yesterday, the power supply and Ram c/o didn't fix it. So I thought right then, replace motherboard
Actually I ended up replacing the whole computer, it was too old anyway.
