Intel claims Panther Lake's new Arc B390 iGPU crushes AMD's best mobile graphics

Lastly, would you take a Xe GPU over a Radeon one for playing games? I sure would not for obvious reasons beside performances. Ironically, it was even mentioned in the CES press conference by Intel themselves...
I definitely would choose Intel over AMD for handheld gaming. Intel current gen on the MSI Claw 8 AI+ is already trading blow with AMD latest Z2 Extreme, and they claimed this next gen will be 50% faster, that's huge.

Not in this power/thermal class or market segment, apparently. Whether we will see any of this materialize with DRAM prices remains to be seen though.
In that market segment pricing, Strix Halo say hello...

That`s because you are a fanboy. The 395+ is about 140% faster than the iGPU of the 370.

Some of the latest Dell XPS pricing are out and we are talking about a starting price of 2100$ for maybe a 388h... we don`t know yet. It is already more expensive than a Strix Halo.

No concrete pricing data has been shown yet though. And XPS is Dell's flagship consumer lineup, meant to compete with premium/luxury laptops like Razer Blade and MacBook Pro.

Until pricing has been revealed (and again, volatile markets are likely to shift many figures) we have preliminary power figures to give us a good sneak peek into what kind of segment(s) Intel intends to place Panther Lake into in the meantime. Per this article, it's looking to be in the 40-65W range based on power consumption measured from the entire demo system. That's well under the typical 80-130W range of most Strix Halo devices. Ergo, two completely different product classes. However, since Strix/Gorgon Point laptops are also in the 40-65W range, they are an appropriate comparison for Panther Lake.
