Intel Core i5/i7 processors in my Compaq laptop?

Hey all, I would like to make my laptop a bit more powerful by adding a new processor (I've already upgraded my RAM). It's a Compaq Presario CQ62. Would anyone know whether an i5 or i7 would fit it?

You cannot change a CPU in a laptop. You have to buy a completely new laptop.

You can see the list of processors on Page 91 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

Only true if the CPU has been soldered to the motherboard. Even then the motherboard may can be replaced with one that has a faster CPU. If the laptop has a CPU socket it can be serviced the same way as a desktop.
