Intel's leaked 28-core Nova Lake CPU beats the Core Ultra 9 285K and Ryzen 9 9950X3D in single-thread testing

At 1440p and 4k the CPU matters very little, unless the user has a 5090, which of course isn't going to be most people.
Market share doesn't matter to me as an end user. Intel is the same company that needed US govt and Nvidia funding to have a comeback.
As for radeon drivers, how many hot fixes has Nvidia released for black screens and crashes since the Blackwell launch? Nvidia drivers are a vibe coded mess.
The comment about needing a 5090 is extremely low IQ. Lots of GPU's work great at 1440p and some even at 4K.
Market share is a reflection of reality, not personal bias.
And AMD drivers have always been dogsh!t compared to Nvidia, with 3X as many issues, far less features and inferior quality going on about 15 years now.

I have a 13700kf, and one thing that I really dislike is the E and P cores setup...sometimes games accidently go on the E cores and its a stutter fest for a few seconds before they go back on the P cores. I will NOT be buying anymore desktop CPUs w/ E-cores, want all my cores to be P cores so software doesn't mix them up...so AMD Zen 6 FTW for me.

Resorting to personal attacks is low IQ.
At 1440P and 4K, any newer CPU is good enough, you'd need a 5090 and some of the most poorly optimized UE5 titles to notice a difference.

Market share only matters for share holders, I care about performance and price.
If the 28 core CPU is faster, it'll probably be much more expensive as well. Zen 6 will be a easy drop in upgrade for anyone on AM5.

It really sounds like you haven't used an AMD GPU in 15 years.

Let the dinosaurs do battle. In ten years x86 will be considered legacy hardware.
And replaced by what exactly?

Qualcomm tried it for two generations of ARM chips. Both failed miserably to even gain mobile market share. Zero on desktop.
Now Nvidia has stumbled into the scene with their equally underwhelming and overpriced ARM offerings that will also go nowhere.
RISC-V is not even in the conversation and other potential x86 alternatives are even more of a niche.

The only one who has managed to carve out some success with ARM against x86 is Apple, but even they are a spec of dust against x86.

I didnt make the low IQ comment I called it out. Market share is an inarguable real world statistic of what consumers actually buy, not what biased opinions recommend. Ive used and had lots of Radeons, but nearly 80% of Steam gamers use Nvidia for a reason. Their better.

I see you edited your previous 94% or whatever it was to a more realistic 80%. It's actually 76%: https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/En

I dont get why the need to inflate Nvidia numbers. No one is disputing they have majority market share. Why do some people feel the need to further inflate it is beyond me.
Does it make them feel better that they can lie another 18% on top of 76%?
It doesn't change anything.

Amazon TOP10 both Nvidia and AMD have 4 models: https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Computer-Graphics-Cards/zgbs/pc/284822

Based on the number of AMD and Nvidia cards in the TOP100 the realistic distribution is about 30% vs 70% and that aligns pretty well with Steam.

What is the "Their better" mean?
If you do a blind test with 5070 Ti vs 9070 XT then I very much doubt even professional reviewers can tell them apart. Much less most other people. Better question is what will buyers notice? Some Nvidia specific feature or paying 50% more for something they wont even notice.

The 94% is Nvidia GPU market share.
The 80% is Steam users with Nvidia GPU's.

If you need 'better' explained to you, you're not an enthusiast gamer.
Nvidia always has better features and sooner.
DLSS launched in 2019, FSR didn't come out until 2021, to name one of MANY MANY MANY examples.
Take your L like a man.

94% is JPR quarterly dGPU shipments. Not Nvidia overall market share. Nvidia does not publish their estimated dGPU market share.
If a car dealership sells 94 green cars in a quarter and 6 red cars, then does that mean that overall people who own green cars from past years also 94%?
Of course not.

JPR's methodology (whatever it is) has constantly been called into question because it doesn't align with what wee see on the consumer market and on AMD's earnings.
If it were true that AMD had only 6% market share then it would make no sense why they have 17% on Steam and have four of the ten spots in Amazon TOP10 dGPU sellers list.

WTF is an "enthusiast gamer". Is it the one who spends $2000 on a midrange gGPU or is it someone who games 12 hours a day?
Also pretty laughable sentence as a whole. "If you dont understand my pseudo logic, you're not an enthusiast gamer". Ok Mr. Enthusiast Gamer, calm down now.

Now you're bringing features into the discussion. Did I mention anything about features?
This is of course completely ignoring current reality in which features are near indistinguishable and AI means that the era of exclusive features is over.

You Nvidia fanboys are so petty. It isn't enough that Nvidia has 76% Steam users. You constantly need to lie, manipulate and fudge the numbers to be bigger than they are.
It has to be some kind of mental illness like a millionaire or billionaire constantly trying to increase their wealth by whatever means necessary. It's petty and it's childish.
Nvidia has majority market share. No one is disputing that, but you want to increase that a few percentages more just because of your ego.
