Laptop charger

I am using my laptop directly without battery plugged in only with the charger but recently the ac adaptor is making psss sound. would it make damage. I use my laptop to play games. by the way the sound starts with out even connected to the laptop. thank you and sorry for my bad English.

Get a new adapter. Something is wrong if it's making that sound even without a connection. You don't want it to overheat too much and worst, blow up. That could be really dangerous.

If its under warranty, get it fixed that way.

Why pull the battery out? Is it just dead? Running this way stresses the charger as most are not designed to run in this mode.
