Laptop power charger not able to provide supply for a DC old drill motor

Hi guys,

I'm trying to power supply a 12 volts DC motor (from an old cordless drill) using a laptop power supply (12v approximately 2.5 Amps)
When connecting the wires I get a pulsating movement on the motor.... not sure if the power supply is broken? (considering a currently working one has the same behavior I think I must be something related to the charger)..

I was doing some research and found the internal pin of today's laptop chargers use the ONE PROTOCOL in order to communicate each other (charger<-> laptop) and thus prevent the use of ALTERNATIVE chargers with the laptop.... so wondering if this also prevents the power supply unit, to be used by other means? (as in my case?)...

Please help, how can I use the laptop charger for other purposes?

FORGET IT! 1-2 AMPS would be max and a device like a drill, when bearing down, can go upwards of 10A. This is a fools errand.
