Laptop powers on and off repeatedly

I have a video problem where the screen gets scrambled when the LT is barely moved and I have to reboot. That is a seperate issue. But when I push the power button to turn on the LT it powers up for 5 seconds then powers down and will continue to do this until I power it off again.

I think your computer is overheating. well rather a piece of hardware is . is this a laptop?

yes it is a laptop. And overheating? It can be turned off overnight and as soon as I turn it on this happens.

Sounds like a PSU or grounding problem. You need to take it to the shop to find out.

yah it soudns like a power supply problem, but maybe your charger has a problem. try taking out the charger and pluging it directly into the wall without batery charger on laptop..
