HI all, can i add a sata hdd to my pc which has already have 3 ide hdd & a ide optical drive to expand my storage? Do i need to setup raid or whatever when installing it & how do i set it as a master with my o/s in it. Thanks.

You don't have to configure the SATA HDD's jumpers or anything. Just plug it into the first available SATA port on the motherboard and you ought to be set.

Maybe,if you have a SATA Motherboard and cables.
Use SATA for your OS.

What is the maybe? If they have a SATA HDD with the data cable and their motherboard has a SATA port free what would be the potential conflict?
