  1. There have been rumors for quite a while that Windows 8 will have a second, tile-based shell for tablets. More recently, Rafael Rivera and Paul Thurrott have revealed the logon screen for this shell, over at Within Windows.

That's not really a surprise that you will be able to change the background image or that it is Metro-based. That seems to be a common theme with things from MS at the moment. I wonder what the image is when there are multiple user accounts. Especially if there are multiple admins.

I'm looking foward to a metro theme to replace the hideous Windows Classic yet retain the performance of it.

If not this guy... well... how about Clippit?

    ... ?

    Thought so. :)
  11. Looks like Windows Phone?

It *is* Windows Phone. Well, in that Windows Phone 7 will be replaced and superseded by Windows 8. Ballmer claims Windows 8 will run on tablets and phones.

It sounds good at first, but it is a strategy that won't work.

Aesthetics aside, kinda stupid to have white text on a pale blue/white background.
