Lindows opens door for IPO

  1. Embattled Linux software maker Lindows announced Tuesday that it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of common stock.

    The IPO is expected to be for as much as $57.5 million in common stock, according to the SEC filing. The San Diego-based company would trade on the Nasdaq under the symbol LINE.
