Linkedin is flagging a pdf as virus infected

When I try to download a pdf file in Linkedin, I can’t do it as Linkedin pops a message that it’s virus infected. This is flagged by Linkedin itself, not by the browser (happens on any browser).

The sender is quite reliable and I was expecting this file from him.

Is Linkedin reliable on this?

Any advice much welcome.

Save it to HD and SCAN with your AV before you open it

Open it anyway and hope your AV catches whatever slithers out.... (only kidding - not recommended).
