Linksys password problem

i have a linksys wrt54 g v8 and i forgot my pasword and i havent installed the disk so i cant reset my pasword and ive tried the reset buton but it doesent work so what can i do to reset the pasword

99.5% chance it that reset button works

1) make sure you in fact have the right button
2) It takes more then a quick press (so you don't accidentally hit it and reset). Hold it pressed until you see the LED lights start to blink in pattern (tho shouldn't be longer 10-15 second press tops)
3. if still not work and you're in the .05% probability, buy a new router!

well it worked with a wierd way i had to use the disk or somthing
