Logitech G502 Proteus Core Review: 4K-friendly 12,000 DPI Gaming Mouse

I never once said a £30-£40 mouse would be "better". I said it would be perfectly sufficient for a PC gamer, rather than the over-engineered (for a huge majority of gamers) G502.

Color me confused then. The G502 can’t be both better and over-engineered. It sounds like you are just saying the G502 is well-engineered but most gamers can get away with a cheaper and inferior product and still be happy.

Kind of like not all gamers need a Radeon R9 290X, they will make do with the 280X for example. All gamers want a 290X, they just might not be able to afford it and have to settle with a lesser product.

?

You said better, not me.

?

You said better, not me.

LOL how pointless. You said the G502 is ridiculously over-engineered – IT ISN'T!

You said “it’s too expensive for a wired mouse” – based on what?

You said something in the £30-£40 range is perfectly sufficient for a PC gamer, I asked for an example and you never game one.

So I will ask again. What mouse should gamers buy and why should they buy it?

I haven't had to shop for a mouse in a while so I don't know what's around but if you spend £70 on a wired mouse and you don't have a 4k screen, you're not a wise decision-maker. You just want to feel elite and you think it'll make you a better gamer.

You don’t know what’s around but you are willing to state that if you spend £70 on a mouse you are a poor decision-maker, yep that makes complete and utter sense.

“You just want to feel elite and you think it'll make you a better gamer.” – by purchasing a product that is designed to be first class and offers loads of very useful features targeted at gamers.

How can you make so much noise over £20?!?!?

Low quality Steelseries mice cost $50 US, the Razer Orochi costs $60, the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 costs $50 and the Corsair Raptor M45 costs $60. None of these mice come even remotely close to offering the same level of features, software support or quality of the G502.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree.

Before we continue this discussion I feel it might pay for you to do some of your own research.

As I said there is a reason why we and virtually every other review site praised the G502 for its value.

BestBuy had this $80 mouse with a $50 Steam card last week. That essentially made it a $35 or so mouse after taxes for gamers - an incredible deal if you ask me.
