Main desktop wont connect to internet

My main desktop computer has suddenly lost internet connection, it is using Ethernet, my wifi is fine on my laptop.
I have tried troubleshooting, switching the router on and off, but still no internet connection

Try ping 8.8.8.8
if you get timing data, you actually HAVE internet
then try ping google.com
if that fails, your problem is DNS, not the internet

Hi, I tried your suggestion, still it doesn't work, I think it is DNS, are you able to suggest what I can do
