Memory??????

Can anyone explain to me why 1GB memory modules run at CL3-3-3-7 and the 512 modules run at CL 2.5-3-3-7?

Is the 512 really that much faster then the 1024?

Is there any benefit for having 2 x 1024 modules rather then 4 x 512 modules?

(EXCEPT THE FACT THAT YOU ARE USING 2 LESS MODULES )

Or would I get more out of having the smaller faster modules?

Having trouble deciding which memory modules to buy for my new system.

What is better/faster between the following?

- 4 x 512 Geil 2.5 - 8 - 4 - 4

- 2 x 1024 Geil 3 - 8 - 4 - 4


- 4 x 512 OCZ 2.5 - 3 - 3 - 7

- 2 x 1024 OCZ 3 - 3 - 3 - 8

Due to money restrictions I could only afford to go with one

- 1024MB TWINX 3200XLPRO DDR RAM Corsair (2X512MB) 2 - 2 - 2 - 5

Would I be better off going with the 2 GB of Geil/OCZ or 1 GB of Cosair?
