Microsoft commits to support "Right to Repair"

The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The next best time is today.
What good is planting if we can't stop them from being destroyed. Helping is great n all but are we really helping when the tree you plant a 100 are getting destroyed. Won't make much progress that way.
Things need to drastically change, the planet first before $.

Jesus, you need meds for that depression. The world isn't doomed mate.
Stop drinking the beer n wake up. The end could be tomorrow, 100, 10,000 or 100,000 years. Doesn't mean there weren't signs of it. It's not about doom or even dying, it's about choosing to do something. Even the littliest of things can have a huge effect.

"What good is planting if we can't stop them from being destroyed." - you just can't be bothered, that's all :)

Its about change. Humanity has to change its ways. Greed can't be at the forefront any longer.
I'm about as pessimistic as it gets with this conversation. As long as there is a great divide between rich and poor. This will never change.

What does this have to do with right to repair?

From the first line in the article:

"𝕄𝕚𝕔𝕣𝕠𝕤𝕠𝕗𝕥 𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕥𝕦𝕕𝕪 𝕙𝕠𝕨 𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕒𝕔𝕔𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕥𝕠 𝕚𝕟𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕡𝕒𝕣𝕥𝕤 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕣𝕖𝕡𝕒𝕚𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕥𝕤 𝕕𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕔𝕖𝕤 𝕔𝕒𝕟 𝕣𝕖𝕕𝕦𝕔𝕖 𝕚𝕥𝕤 𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕓𝕠𝕟 𝕗𝕠𝕠𝕥𝕡𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕥."

All of these woke companies can just shut up. If they were really all that serious about climate change, the environment, the poor, and every other virtue signaling, then they would have been addressing all of these concerns years ago. It all really falls flat and pretentious at this point. Climate change is nothing but a carbon money scheme from the usual suspects for another series of 'wealth transfer'. Introduce free energy and then I'll listen. Until then, I just trust a damn thing they have to say after peddling lies and corruption for so long.

What is there to study? It's pretty simple. Smoke and mirrors while they decide how much money they're willing to lose to present a false virtual signal.

The study will be cause and effect, and it is only now beginning. You have no idea if it is a false virtue signal, any more than I know it isn't. Time will tell, and anyone of us that already claims to know is a fool or a liar.

Of course, you can't prove any of this. But I will say you seem to be the exact opposite of "woke", which I guess would be uninformed. Or asleep.

You should probably take your paranoia up with NASA, NOAA or the National weather service. I'm sure they would get a kick out of you. I kinda do.

The system is corrupt. Period. Of course, you're on the side of it. If I'm so crazy and paranoid as you say, then it wouldn't bother you.
I would be just another wack job soon to fade into the dark night. Thou protests too much.

It doesn't bother me. I already told you, I actually get a kick out of it.

Yeah, see, you're already well on your way. :D
I've seen so many contradictions coming out of these companies, I'm just over it. If how I expressed it rub people wrong I can't help that. In the past, I saw many of these environmentalists as a bit wacky, but still have to acknowledge that they make salient points. Corporate talk is cheap. Need to to see action, and need to see congruency. That is all.

As far as companies are concerned, I agree. It often seems to be more of a financial strategy than anything else. I just want to try to take them at their word and give them the benefit of the doubt when something like this comes out.
