Microsoft says Windows is becoming an agentic OS, but users simply hate the idea

It would of been nice to simply define what "agentic" actually means - preferably at the top of the article.
- would have, not "would of". The 'of' sound stems from contraction of 'have' ... would've.
Do they not teach English in school nowadays?
"would of", lol.

The pain/profit ratio for businesses to move away from 365 will be the deciding factor on whether or not Microshaft pushes this Windows junk. Their model is entirely about fking businesses over now. If business says they'll abandon the 365 ecosystem if this is pushed they will stop, otherwise they will continue as it's another way to squeeze money out of them.

They don't care about home desktop users anymore, they don't even pursue desktop licensing piracy.

You're quite correct but it's something I find difficult to quit. I'll admit it often bothers me when I see there, they're and their being interchanged but, for my own sanity, I just tend to accept other folks use of the English language.

Always the issue with Windows is that Microsoft continues to try to make it an "app" with features. I just want my OS to only focus on running applications fast and efficiently. I use programs and apps to get the functionality that I want. I don't need the OS f'ing it up. However, there is no money in that I guess, so the enshitification continues.

I only wish Linux could stop being such a "nerd" OS and truly compete with Windows, specifically in Gaming and easy of use for non-tech people.

Before everyone starts flaming about the different versions of Linux, gaming support, .....; I want to be clear that I have two Linux computers I use daily. I have used Linux for 20+ years. Linux has some great features and there are some more user friendly versions, but Linux overall just fails to cross into mainstream for everyday people. That day will never come until AAA game studios target Linux first and not as an afterthought. The consequence is that we have to continue to put up with MS's BS.
Desktop Linux isn’t trying to compete with Windows. It’s not a product made by a company. It’s an OS for nerds made by nerds. As a computer nerd myself, that’s the way I like it. I don’t care if the masses use it. I don’t want it to turn into something else to try to gain mass appeal.

And, if we consider the purpose of language is to communicate information, regardless of spelling, if the information is successfully passed to another, it's mission accomplished.
I'm a recovering grammar cop. It's a tough habit to break, but I'll keep working on it.
