Hi

I have tried to open ie on my laptop and it keeps coming up with.....

Microsoft visual C++ Runtime Error

Program:C:\Program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe

this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
please contact the application's support team for more information.

I am unable to get a browser at all, though the laptop connects to the internet as I can access msn messenger, and msn today but as soon as I try to search the net, i get the runtime error.

I am running xp

can anyone help me sort this out

A full spyware/virus check is in order. Might want to try repairing IE too.

Also, this is a perfect opportunity to get yourself a real browser. Download Opera of Firefox on a CD or a flash disk and install on your computer to get a functional browser.
