  1. Hi,

I'm trying to install solidworks 2008 but i keep getting this error message (cannot find an appropriate resource dll) . I've tried a couple of reg fix programs to no avail. Can anyone tell how to identify which dll's are missing?
Any help appreciated. I'm running xp pro sp3 by the way

Well, NO. You gave no info on operating system or anything else.

Come on! You want help, at least offer some basic system specs!

    Pretty please?

That particlular error crops up with hacked installs - I hope yours is legal.

Thanks for your reply. Yes it is a legal copy. I'm actually installing it for a friend of mine.
He bought a licience to cover three machines. It installed ok on the first one, but not the other two.

    Thanks again

Oh i've just realised the other two machines are only on sp2. Could that be the problem?

    Check the System Requirements here:

    I note:
with no reference to Service Packs, but there are a lot of requirements for this program. It's possible that one computer doesn't meet them.
